top

How sweet is this Galaxy top from AlysonMQ. I love the pleated sleeves. What a great shop Alyson has.

thinking twice about packaging

I like Puma's process here. Rethinking the approach, not just reducing the waste.

string gardens

String

Gosh I want one of these String Gardens so bad. Too bad I can't/won't plant!

one hundred and eight

It always surprises me how artists can find beauty in mundane, throw away items. Nils Volker created this beautiful installation from 108 plastic bags.

story

Love these handmade and vintage cushions from Libby Story. They're cheap too, and inspire me to sew new covers for myself!

spring has arrived!

spring

It's the first day of Spring! And it is humid here in Sydney. Totally loving it. Yes I love winter a lot, but I am so excited for a little bit of warmth. So here are some sweet goods for spring.

First up, a cute headband made from a pre-loved sweater, followed by a cool breezy top by Alternative Apparel at Kind Boutique, a GORGEOUS floral dress from 13 Bees that's just begging to be worn to afternoon tea, lovely pre-loved leather sandals and finally a brooch by Israeli artist Dani Karavan available at Hello Victory. global warming

Global

I really try to avoid talking about global warming here on duo. It's just not what this site is about, even though it is a thoroughly important issue. I just like to think that the approach of living sustainably is separate from, and not just inspired by, the decline of the planet. Don't get me wrong, we are destroying the planet, with out a doubt - whether not you believe in rising sea levels or natural disasters. But each day we make decisions that affect the earth and our health, and I'd like to think we'd make conscious sustainable decisions even if the earth wasn't rapid decline. It's just a matter of responsibility.

Do you agree?
